Gary McDonald
Gary’s story much begins with a family love of horses. His parents having been breeders for almost 40 years. Gary’s halter career started with his first Open halter class in 1985 at the age of twelve. Spurred by the enthusiasm to show the offspring of his parents breeding program, as an early teenager, he toured the western states and the local and Regional level. Several trainers and mentors welcomed and assisted Gary in his pursuit to become a respected handler. All of them remain as dear friends still today. In as much as Gary loves the thrill of competition, another passion has developed. “The thrill of assisting in the creation, and breeding selections of future National Winners, is such a rewarding experience.”
